Back by popular demand: Multispecialty Directed Simulation Workshop- Taught by Multi-Specialty Experts. The Fundamentals of Sedation, Reviewing the Basics course is intended for physicians, nurses, dentists, hygienists and those who are interested in pediatric sedation. This course is designed to provide an in-depth review of pharmacology, physiology, alternative techniques, oral sedatives, nitrous oxide, local anesthetics, physiologic monitoring, national guidelines and procedures, patient assessment, anticipation and preparation for adverse events, identification of high risk situations and the logistics of setting up a pediatric dental sedation practice. A Hands-On Airway Workshop is offered along with case based learning presentations. Approved for AMA PRA category 1 credits. Pending: ACEP Category I Credit, AANA, CEU and Risk Management credits.
