How do I access the site to fill up the online application?
An applicant should log on to http://isaweb.in/ to access the home page to register online.
Who can apply for membership?
Any modern medical graduate who has registered in State Medical Council in India or IMC and has enrolled to study / completed PG Degree / Diploma / DNB or fellowship in Anaesthesia which is recognized by Indian Medical Council is eligible to apply. PG Diploma / Degree / DNB / Fellowship holder who has registered his/her PG qualification with State / Indian Medical can register as a Life Member. Post Graduate students can register as an Associate Life Member.
What is the membership Fee? How to pay it?
The Life Membership Fee is Rs. 7500/- It must be paid to ISA account by NEFT / online transfer from you’re a/c . The fee is same for both LM & ALM.
Is there separate fee to convert from ALM to LM?
No.
How to convert from ALM to LM?
After completion of PG Qualification and registering the PG qualification you can apply for conversion from ALM to LM online (after logging in).
Applicant need to upload PG Certificate and Additional Certificate. The office secretary first verifies the member submitted details. If found correct in all respects, ISA Admin approves the applicant as LM Member. When he converts as Life member there will be no /A after the four digits of Applicants ISA number.
What should I do if there is lot of delay in accessing the page?
The delay in accessing the Page depends upon various factors like Internet Speed, large number of applicants trying to register the application at the same time etc. Therefore if you are not able to get the page for registration promptly, please retry after some time or during off-peak hours.
What information/ details /items are required while filling the on-line application form?
The instructions/ items which are required to submit are:
  • A fee of Rs.7500/- favoring "INDIAN SOCIETY OF ANAESTHESIOLOGISTS" OR "ISA NATIONAL" SBI Collect a/c (Current A/C) No. 35292412841, IFS Code SBIN0006715, payable at State Bank of India (SBI), Kasaragod Branch, Kerala (Branch Code 006715), to be paid by NEFT in Bank or online transfer from your a/c to ISA a/c
  • Scanned copy of payment challen to be uploaded (file size should not exceed 10 MB)
  • Good passport size color photo for ID card to be uploaded. (Only jpg files are allowed and the file size should not exceed 10 MB).
  • You should have the relevant information/ details for all the columns which are required to be filled up such as the basic information, current and permanent address, medical council number and state, date of medical council registration, medical council registration number valid upto. , Qualification details- lowest to highest, proposer and seconder name and their ISA No.
  • The following Certificates must be scanned and kept ready for uploading

      • Bonafide Certificate ( Certificate from Dean / Principal / MS / HoD Anaesthesia stating that you are pursuing PG Course in Anaesthesia)

Who can register as a Life Member?
Anaesthesia PG Diploma / Degree / DNB / Fellowship holder who has registered his / her PG qualification with State / Indian Medical can register as a Life Member.
Who can register as an Associate Life Member?

I have completed / passed my PG Course and not yet registered my PG Qualification. What is my status?
You can enroll as ALM only. Here instead of Bonafide Certificate, you upload your PG course completion / passing Certificate
I did not receive the e-mail intimation for registration of my application?
After the completion of the online application, a page displays the message that the application has been submitted successfully. If you have given an email id and mobile number, then the email and SMS is also automatically sent to you stating that you have successfully submitted your application.
How do I re-confirm that my membership is confirmed in the head Office?
Once a member does online submission, he receives a confirmation email where he gets the application number, and the login link through which he can login and find the status of his registration process. The office secretary first verifies the member submitted details. If found correct in all respects, he refers to Hon. Secretary for approval. Once National Secretary approves it, the member gets an email where he has to download the pdf in that mail, get the signature of proposer and seconder and again submit it to head office by post. Postal address slip (with your address, National Secretary’s address and a bar code) also to be down loaded, printed and that address slip to the pasted to your postal cover. Once your cover reaches ISA Office, the bar code will be scanned and you can see in your log in that your application hard copy has reached ISA Office. Then the office secretary checks the hard copy (pdf) and if correct will submit to the National Secretary for approval. Within next 2 working days you will be enrolled as a member and you will get SMS & E Mail. Then the member can down load the receipt, certificate and ID card by logging in using his E Mail ID.
I am unable to upload Photo in my application. What should I do ?
Please check the properties of photo images. Resize them as per specifications given in instructions for filling online application on the website itself within FAQ.
Is it possible to edit my record submitted in my application?
Applicant can edit the details such as an address and other basic details with the help of the login link provided. However such edit option is available only till the office secretary verifies the records submitted. Further In case of any mistake in filling application, candidate is responsible.
Is it possible to obtain membership from ALM to LM?
Yes. The applicant can login and change from ALM to LM, and uploaded the necessary certificates for the same. Then the ISA Office Secretary checks the details provided and if found OK submits to the National Secretary for approval. National Secretary approves this within next 2 working days. New ID Card and LM Certificate will be generated by the system and uploaded to your ISA a/c.
Can I track my application status? How?
Yes, you can.
Once you submit the online Regn., you will get a SMS and notification in your ISA a/c with Application No. Simultaneously E Mail will be sent to your proposer and seconder for their comments if any. Log in regularly and see the status of your application


In ISA Hq. Office Secretary will verify the Application within next 2 working days. If there are any mistakes he will send you notification which you will see when you log in to your ISA a/c. You have to correct the defects mentioned. You can’t make any other changes. Once found correct in all respects ISA Office Secretary submits your application to Hon. Secretary. Hon. Secretary will check it within 48 Hr.s of submission of correct application form to him and if found perfect and also no adverse remarks from the proposer / seconder, will approve your application and send you PDF (You will get SMS) which you can download by logging in to your ISA a/c. You can down load your receipt also. Log in regularly and see the status of your application


Now you download the PDF Form and the address slip with bar code.

Please get the PDF Form signed by your proposer and seconder, sign yourself in the space provided. Upload a scanned copy after logging in to your ISA a/c. Then send the Original by surface mail to ISA Office. Paste the address slip with bar code to the envelop.

Once the cover with address slip is received in ISA Office the bar code will be scanned and you can confirm the receipt of the envelop in ISA Office by logging in to your ISA a/c. Office Secretary will check the envelop, get the Application signed by Hon. Secretary and pass your application for membership and file your application within next one working day. Log in regularly and see the status of your application


Hon. Secretary will check and pass it online within next one working day and you will get SMS & E Mail. You can log in and down load your Membership Certificate and ID Card. You can take soft copy to photo printers and get it printed and laminated. Print on both sides in case of ISA ID Card and laminate it.

Copy of your application from will be sent to your State & City Branch Secretaries by E Mail simultaneously.
Which Branch I can enroll as a member?
You can enroll to any branch of your choice, either your permanent residence, current residence or College area.
Can I transfer the membership? Is there any fee? How much time it will take?
You can transfer to any other state & City Branch. This is done online. You have to log in using your ISA log in ID (E Mail ID) and then fill relevant columns and submit. ISA National will approve it after confirming that you have no dues to the current branch and transfer to the new branch of your request with E Mail intimation to all concerned. There is no fee. The procedure will be completed within a week of submitting your request. You can track this in your ISA a/c.
What is the validity of Life Membership.?
It is valid for Life, but at the end of 20years from the date of registration you have to renew your membership fee paying the prescribed fee and update your details including latest photo.
How to get ID Card & Membership Certificate?
The ID Card & Membership Certificates are generated in the system and stored in your ISA a/c in JPG format. you can download them and print and laminate. The ID card to be color printed in good quality paper on both sides and laminated.
Receipt for payment is also system generated and stored in your ISA a/c
Who can become my proposer & seconder? How do I know about proposer & Seconder?
Any active Life Member of ISA can propose and second members for ISA membership. You can check their details in our website. ALM & inactive members cannot propose / second.
What is the difference between ALM & LM?
ALM are PG or student members. They cannot hold Office in any ISA formation. They do not have voting rights. So, once you complete you PG Degree / DNB/ Diploma, register you additional qualification with your medical council and apply for conversion from ALM to LM and become member with full rights.
How can I know about ISA Office Bearers in any place?
It is published in ISA website with their Mobile No& E Mail IDs
How can a City / State branch Office bearer know about new member or member transfer?
ISA National send E Mails to the concerned City & State President & Secretaries once membership is approved / transferred with PDF copy of the original application form & Membership Certificate
What is my ISA No.?
Your ISA No is a an alphabet followed by four digits. This is permanent. In case of ALM there will be /A after the four digits. Eg. V0304/A is Associate Life Member. When he converts as Life member it will be V0304.
