ISA Founded
Established by pioneering anaesthesiologists after India's independence.
1957
IJA Launched
Indian Journal of Anaesthesia launched as a dedicated research platform.
1962
First ISACON
Inaugural national conference united all anaesthesiologists across India.
1975
Branch Chapters
Formal chapter structure created for regional governance and member support.
1990
FISA Fellowship
Fellowship of ISA launched recognising senior contributions to the specialty.
2005
IJA Goes Digital
Open-access digital platform launched, dramatically increasing global reach.
2010
PubMed Indexed
IJA indexed in PubMed/MEDLINE — internationally recognised journal.
